There are situations when one or more members of one department can be absent for valid reasons. In such situations, the workload of that department is shared or completed shifted to another department. However, there can be difficulty in completely shifting workload of some departments because of high level of expertise required in completing work. If there is absence of one or more members of the Medical department, the workload is generally supposed to be shared by the members working under the VP managing the R & D department.
